Anatomy Pronunciations App Reviews

Pronouncing the non-colloquial words that form the language ofedicine can be a challenge at times. This little application is good for learning them but I do wish it went broader in scope.

beyond helpful

Amazing app.Studying anatomy for personal training and while there are so many apps on anatomy...there are none on the pronounciation, which is what we all struggle with in the class. Highly recomended!

Comes in handy

Nice to have an app to double check the pronunciations of these anatomy terms. Not everyone has a teacher to walk you through all the anatomical parts step by step.. that means trying to pronounce these terms all on your own - recipe for disaster

Latin Schmatin...

If you are a medical student, and youve never taken latin, greek, or any of the other languages anatomy is based in, you could use this app. Theres nothing more embarassing than being in the OR and mispronouncing anatomy...the surgeons will give you hell and no one will respect you. When you go home, even your dog may not love you anymore. Well, maybe just the first part.

Helpful

Another useful pronunciation app from these guys. I like knowing how to pronounce things correctly when Im taking these classes and need to discuss terms with classmates or teachers/doctors.

Exactly what it says

Perfect

This is a wonderful app! As a medical student this is a great way to learn correct pronounciation of anatomy terms! Even as a MD I think this app is extremely useful. And if you cant find the word you can submit the word your looking for and they will upload it in a later download. Perfecto!

What it has is great but...

I bought this for my human sexuality course so that I could discuss parts of the human reproductive anatomy and use their proper names and their proper pronunciations. Sadly, this application does not cover the reproductive anatomical terms in the depth that I needed of it. I will say, however, that if you need to know how to pronounce the different muscle groups, then this application will help you greatly.

"Schmoov...very schmoov."

Nothings sexier than a girl with brains and a sexy voice. Well...a body doesnt hurt. The voice in Anatomy Pronunciations will have you wondering where you can find this woman, because she must be beautiful. If not, Id take her as she is, marry her with no questions asked, then whisk her away to my private island to have her waited on hand and foot for the rest of her life. But seriously, its great to have these pronunciations so I can correct the teachers in my radiography classes, doctors at the hospital and medical book authors if they happen to slip. Little do they know the tools at my disposal. I went ahead and gave this program five stars because the creators obviously have a great attitude, putting up a link and page where you can submit words for them to add to their next update. Now thats professional. I love to say things like "sustentaculum tali" to sound smart, and nothing blows that image quicker than an untimely mispronunciation. I always tell my daughter this. "Three thaings: (while holding up two fingers) You gots ta work own yo Ainglish, an yo maff." Then she smiles and says, "Maff." Lets face it. You dont know how to pronounce chordae tendineae any better than you can pronounce abductor digiti minimi, obliquus capitis or salpingopharyngeus, so get it together, soldier. You needs ta work own yo Ainglish. Git dis progran. Beleedat (Buh-LEE-dat). Reconoz (RECK-uh-nozz).

Awesome Anatomy App!

I have a whole page of anatomy apps in my iPhone, I love anatomy and love to review it as much as possible. This app is my current favorite, because it not only lets you get the correct pronunciation (very important) but also lets you Google it or Wikipedia it, and immediately you get more information AND images that relate to it, without taking you out of the app, its very fast at going back and forth! By far it’s the best way to get complete anatomical information, it does so much more than just pronunciations!

Pre-Med Student, I Love This Ap!!!

One of the best aps I own. I tried the lite version and liked it so I paid for the full version. The words in my A&P classes that they didnt have I submitted and they updated it with every one o them within a very short time (like 2 weeks or so!). Worth every penny. My teacher liked it too.

Student

Dont waste your money! This app. only has a handful of the terms you will need for a basic anatomy class.

not to shabby

For someone like me who is terrible at pronuciation this app has been great. So far it has had 90% of the terms that Ive looked up which is why I gave it a 4 star and not a 5.

Great app

I love this app!! A couple words that were not in the database. If not fir that Id of given it a 5.

Doesnt work

Anatomy pronunciations
